Montana Hatmaker
« on: February 23, 2003, 04:25:36 PM »
Last year I meet a hatmaker from Montana, at a reenactment, that hand-made really nice heavy-weight felt hats.  They were 'period' work (ca. 1870s), and cost around $50 apiece.  I planned to go back at the end of the day and pick up a hat, but arrived after he'd packed up and left - didn't even get his name!!!

He mentioned that he tours the reenactments and CAS events regularly.
Does anyone know a hatter that fits this description, and if so, can you tell me how to locate him?

Slim chance, but I appreciate any info ya'll might have.
