I have been tinkering around with one of my M44 barreled receivers lately. I have taken of the rear sight, and lightly grinded the outside of the barrel with my Dremel to make it smoother.
I have not taken off the bayonet lug, instead I thought about just cutting the barrel off right underneth it, where the step can be seen if you do take it off.
I know the legal barrel limit is 16"
-Do you measure this at the end of the receiver up?
-What kind of saw would you recomend to cut it down?-I have ascess to various kinds, you name it.
-Recrown. I have seen some use a drill with a stone bit to do this, but I don't know the entire process. Any help here?
Any advice would be a great help-Thanks
