I have a very old looking H&R model 25 bolt action 22. Serial #3539 Does anybody know how I could find out when this rifle was made?

ive looked in a couple books and do not see anything on the model 25.there is however a 250 sportster listed, with a det mag and open rear sight 23 inche barrell made 48-61

I've got the same model; I was told by a gunsmith they were made roughly the same years herbie1 stated. Great little rifle rifle; got it when I was 10 from my dad, and 39 years later it'll still light matches at 25 yards.
