PA to allow snares

They call them cable restraints, politicly correct I guess. They will allow them for late winter fox and 'Yotes. This is something I have been waiting a long time for. Any input for experienced snareman would be appreciated. They will regulate the size of the snare, it's height from the ground and require an 8" stop. All trappers will have to take a course. I did not see any rules about entanglement, which, from what I understand, determines is the set is lethal. Shotgunner

Shotgunner,I am in the process of making some of them.
 You need quite a bit more than the stop set at 8 inches.That stop is so the loop closes to a certain point,then one is on at 38 inches--I have to check on that--everything is marked out on my table.The outer stop keeps the loop from going over 12 inches in size. Reichardt lock and one other are deemed to be truly relaxing.Also a  swivel is needed and snare length cannot exceed--I believe 6 feet 8 inches.
 It is becoming a lot of fun to make snares  lol,each state has differant regs.
 I would suggest everyone get a copy of their snaring regs and study them well.
