FS (2) Silhouette Rifles (Hunter and Standard)
« on: August 16, 2005, 11:27:21 AM »
"Firearms must be shipped FFL to FFL or sold face to face in state when and where legal."

WTS (2) Briley Custom 77/22’s. Walnut stocks/SS/ 1-Hunter taper 1- Bull w/ Bloop Tube.

I am helping a friend sell his (2) Briley 77/22 rifles. Please see the pictures as they are large and should give you an idea of what you are looking at.

1st rifle is a “standard” class rifle with a bull barrel and a bloop tube with (3) weights that can be used for weight distribution and or tuners.

2nd Rifle is a “Special Hunter” class rifle with a tapered heavy barrel. This rifle weighs right under the 8.5 pound limit with a scope on it, no problems making weight with this rig.

OK- I am NOT a gunsmith, nor do I pretend to play one on TV. I can tell you that these rifles are custom builds from the ground up. They start with a walther blank and THREAD the action, not slip fit. The walnut stocks are bedded to the action. The headspace the set properly and all of that. Bobby was the smith that built both of these rifles and if I remember correct he built the 77/22’s (as opposed to the 10/22’s) on the bench mark of being CAPABLE (not every time, don’t flame me if you can’t shoot it) of shooting ½” 5 shot groups at 100 yards with Eley Tenex. I have not shot these rifles as they are not mine, but if that’s a “deal sealer” I could easily throw on a 40X scope and take one to the range. I do know I have shot ½” groups with Bobby’s 10/22 builds, have no doubt his 77/22 would be any less accurate. Trust me, I don’t say this lightly. I have a 54.18 that I have yet to shoot ½” with, the one I sent of to get built into my sporter shot (3) of them in one day with SK…

Anyway, back to the sale. I don’t know what all to list. Please e-mail me and I will measure, take pictures of, and describe to the best of my ability ANYTHING you may want to know.

Magazines- I have a total of 8 -5 shot “modified” BX-1’s and (3) factory 10 shot mags and (1) set of waren ???? rings (see pics). The first rifle sold will get the alum rings and (6) mags.

Hunter – Asking $550
BMG – Asking $650
Pair – Make offer – ready to move!!!

Thanks for looking!
