Any Hoyt Magnatech owners out there??
« on: August 16, 2005, 12:11:47 PM »
I've been sighting in my bow as I've added a new 3 pin Cobra Sidewinder sight and Whisker Bisquit rest to my setup (previous post). I'm setting it up for 10, 20 & 30 yds, to start. I notice that the difference in distance between the 20 & 30 yd pins is a little greater that the distance between the 10 & 20 yd pins. Obviously, there is a greater loss of velocity as the shooting distance grows...any other Magnatech shooters see it that way?

Just curious...I know this is a startup bow and isn't highend fast.

Arrow drop is directly related to how fast the arrow is going, does not matter what bow you shoot it out of. As for the magnatec, its a fine bow.
I owned a couple of the older ones with the built in over draws. They were darn fine bows, nothing too fancy and not many heads would turn - except when I used the camoed up hunter to shoot a 52X 300 at the state indoor tourney!  I now shoot an ultratec, but would have no problem going back to the magnesium risers. In fact i've been fancying getting an ultramag to make a hunting only bow.
