I was wondering if anyone is shooting Henry Big Boy's (44mag/45LC). I see that they are now SASS legal. My mother received a Henry Golden Boy 22 for Valentine's Day from my father. The action is the smoothest that I have ever touched.

I found out they were SASS legal, I bought one last week. It is smooth, the trigger is very nice, It shot point of aim with my cowboy loads right out of the box. Mine likes to be cycled fast or it hangs up on feeding. It is 44 mag and I am using 240 grn rnfp. I have'nt tried semi wadcutters yet to see if they feed any better.

My local gun shop got one in, but they want more $$$ than I'm willing to pay. In fact, it costs more than a gun smith tuned EMF '92 or Marlin '94. The stock felt a little bulky, also. The action worked smoother than some factory levers from other makers, but it's not nearly as smooth as the '92 that I bought slicked up from Steve's Gunz (same smith that does the warrantee work for EMF).

I agree with you on the .22's action. I couldn't believe how smooth mine was out of the box. If my old eyes were better I could try to reach its potential.

Not sure about mine's big brother but hope it works out for you which ever way you decide to go.
