Anyone looking for a .25 ACP Capper?
« on: August 16, 2005, 08:11:35 PM »
Just thought I would drop you a line and let you know I found a capper that works very well with the .25 ACP brass. It is called the T/C no. 7006 Hunters Choice 209 Capper. It is so new that T/C doesn't even have it on their own accessories web page. I found a picture that is very close on Cabelas with the exception of the brass looking plunger. The actual product is all black plastic, no brass. It is a syringe-style Capper that holds 8 #209 primers. It will hold up to 5 .25 ACP brass with one in the ready position, but would probably better serve you with only 3 or 4. This is the best answer I have found to a .25 ACP Capper out there and can be used as supplied with NO modifications needed. Just thought you might like to know. The rim of the brass sits in the groove designed for the rim of the 209 primers perfectly to hold the brass in the ready position.

I found mine at Wally World for under 8 bucks.

Is it designed for the 209s? Will it work with an Omega?

Yes it will. As a matter of fact it shows an Omega being capped on the package. Designed for break-open and pivoting breech muzzleloaders. Works with 209's and .25 ACP.

Busta,

I bought one of those cappers at Gander Mountain this weekend.  You were right.  They work great with 25 ACP brass.  I also bought two of the U-View Flex Loaders.  These have three tubes set into the same bio-flex silicone rubber as the capper.  The carrier part that the tubes fit into has four holes that 25 ACP brass fits into perfectly.  The tubes hold three pellets and a saboted bullet.  I use loose Triple 7 and it easily holds my 295 gr Powerbelt and 100 grains of powder.  I'm all set for a rapid reload now!  Thanks!
