17HMR barrel
« on: August 22, 2005, 07:58:50 AM »
Well I have a 10" 22lr match that I bought for the local club silhouette shoots.  I like it so much I want to get a 17hmr barrel to shoot paper and small varmints.  I really would like to keep the barrel at 11".  I have been looking at Bullberry barrels.  Was wondering if I should go with them or go to a TC 14".  Definitely want a sub min. barrel.  I think she will do good with som Georgia Jims grips too while I am at it.
Thanks

I've got a matched pair of 10" .17HMR & HM2 BBLs from the T/C Custom shop in high-polish.  Both are turning out to be great shooters so far...

What sort of groups are you getting with those barrels?
By the way beautiful contenders!!!

I haven't shot for groups with either yet, just quickie sight ins for both.  The HM2 was sighted at 50 yds and was shooting 3 shot groups that were touching.  The HMR shot 3 shot groups at 100 that could be covered with a dime.  Only shot remingtons out of the HMR thus far on sight in and chucks.  Have 4 or 5 other brands on hand I'd like to take to the bench soon.  I've been working out of town alot since June, not much trigger time to be found.
