If you look up in the NEF/H&R Centerfire forum a 445 supermag reamer deal has been put together. I would like your suggestions for this cartridge out of a 22" rifle barrel. I was thinking along the lines of H110 but i don't know if this is suitable. I'll be using anywhere from a 200gr. to 270gr. bullet.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to start on this one.

I'd look at the 44mag rifle loads in the Hornday 6th, then compare those with the 445SM loads for a handgun, I'd think the slower burning powders listed for the 44mag rifle would be good candidates for the 445SM rifle.....just thinkin out loud!!

While H110 will work very well, for maximum velocities in a .445 handgun or a rifle, AA1680 will work better, especially with the heavier bullets. The larger capacity of the .445 allows enough of this powder to be used to attain higher speeds. Remember that most lightweight .44 bullets are too soft for use on deer-sized game at high velocities.
