Saw 2 like-new with boxes Norinco .22 cal semi-auto pistols at local gunshop.  Shop will accept $175 OTD for ea..
Anyone knows if these guns are decent for casual range shooting, plinking and as a trailgun. Is this a good buy at the price?

Never seen one, but you have my attention. Are they built on the 1911 style platform? The Norinco 1911 clones I've seen have been ok.

Interesting!  The last rimfire pistol I saw from Norinco was a copy of the Walther Olympia.  It's a great shooter, but prices have really climbed on them since their importation was banned.  I bought mine over 10 years ago, and wish I had bought more.

Armory414:
your right. I have seen a picture of one on GunsAmerica since the post.
The norinco is a copy of the Walther Olympia pistol that won the 1936 olympic games.  Will these be rare someday and thus more valuable?

Outdoorman,

Been a while since I been online and checked this forum.  The Norinco pistols will be rare in the U.S. because they've been banned from importation.  Canada will get them, but not U.S.  Which is too bad, Norinco has a lot of nice clones.  I'd like to get my hands on their copy of the Win. 12 ga. lever action. . .

Just picked up a Olympia TT as new in the box with 2 mags and the barrel weight for $100.00 about a month ago and it shoots fantastic, it actually out shoots my Ruger MkII. I really like it, I plan on shooting it  a geat deal. I would get one while you can, I bet you'll like it.

After much malingering, I went back to the shop and bought one of the Norinco pistols. Man is it nicer than I remember. Comes with original box, weight, 2 mags and cleaning rod. Looks like it's never been fired.
Bought it for $160.00 OTD

My norinco 1911a1 in 45acp is one of the best 45acp pistols i have ever owned.  And there is a lot of other 1911a1 owners who will agree with me too. The other norinco products i own are flawless too.  I wouldn't hesitate to buy another norinco product.  I hope with the ban lifted recently on China we get to see some more of the norinco products and ammo too.
