Value of 21 yr old M77UL in 250-3000?
« on: August 24, 2005, 05:37:50 AM »
I have a M77UL in 250-300, has a tang safety. I bought it new (still have the box) for my daughter when she was 6 mo old and she is now 21. She doesn't hunt and I am thinking about selling it. It has had less than 20 rounds fired through it and now sits in the back of the safe.

Were many Ultra-Lites made? in this cal.?

What is it worth?

I think I'd be out shootin it a bit before I though about getting rid of it.

You have a Jewel there weighs in at 6 pounds and the last time i looked they were bringing about 445.00 If yours is in top shape i wouldent doubt it would bring the same. Theres still lots of guys and gals that would love to have a nice light 250-3000. Its about as good a deer rifle as you can get for a person that was recoil sensitive. I sold a few when i had my shop and every body that bought one said they were great little guns. I don't think you will have any trouble getting rid of it. Good luck Sir  .......Joe........

Don't sell it , you WILL regret it. I've had one almost as long as you have had yours and have taken several whitetails with it. This is the most comfortable rifle to carry and shoot and it will knock down a deer like a tree fell on it. My nephews are bickering over who should inherit it when I'm gone and these guys prefer to use much heavier calibers. They both have had a chance to use it and they love it too.
