I finally got to shoot mine at my camp and what a sweet 9mm to shoot. Its a smaller looking 1911 that shoots 9mm. If you see one priced reasonable don't hesitate to pick one up. I rate this 9mm a "plus++" on my gun to buy list.

I own one and I couldn,t agree more. If I had to sum these pistols up in one word that would be SMOOTH. Have you removed the mag safety yet? Because if you do the mags will drop free when released. Check out gungripguys.com for some beautiful grips.

Hey, I've been thinking about adding one to my collection of shootable C&Rs. How would you rate the condition ?
Which Dealer are you using? Only place I've seen them advertised is from SOG. I use a local ffl who can order from anywhere.

Most of the ones I have seen are borderline Excellent/Very Good+ because the bluing will be the only thing i have seen that differs. I'm not sure where mine came from.

If these were C&R, I'd be all over them. Local FFL's want $50 for a transfer on a 'regulated firearm' in Maryland mainly due to the state paperwork hassle. Even then, I am considering one. Jeff Cooper, certainly not a 9mm fan, gave them a great rating for concealed carry, many years ago.

I love mine, but the bolt seems to get stuck in the rear position quite often. I have to give the slide a little shove to make it slide forward. I am contemplating selling it because of this reason unless I can fix it. Is there a spring that I can replace or stretch out to cure this problem?? Or could it be that certain ammo won't cycle well in it, like the Blazer aluminum casings??

I have only shot Wolf 9mm ammo out of my Star BM 9mm so far and it cycles great so problems at all.

Get a new recoil spring from

and your problem will be solved. I'd recommending replacing the recoil spring on ALL of these pistols. It will improve the reliability of the piece.

Also, I agree it's a good idea to remove the mag safety - it also improves the trigger, making the gun even more accurate.

A great carry pistol, flat, excellent grip, reliable, accurate and inexpensive.
