bird hunting with encore
« on: August 26, 2005, 03:28:49 AM »
Has anyone tried dove, duck, or goose hunting with an encore and a shotgun barrell?  The turkey barrell set up looks pretty good, but I am not sure how the pistol grip stock would work for wing shooting.  Anyone tried it?

I have had the same thoughts I just can not get over what they want for ashotgun barrel compared to a rifle barrel.  Thats a lot of money for a single barrel shotgun.
If you already have a turkey barrel set up you could try this option, new choke and screw in bead sight'

Just be sure to get the Sims Recoil pad installed before you plan to shoot this rig all day!

I have been using my encore 20 ga for upland game hunting and clay target shooting for several years now.  It has become my favorite!  I think it handles great, very quick.  It might be a handful in 12 ga though...
