Yooper sitting in Green Bay
« on: August 26, 2005, 01:36:41 PM »
Here I am, an Upper Penninsula Yooper, sitting in my son's apt in Greenbay.  Watching hunting/fishing on tv and reading Graybeard outdoors.  Tonite we are watching the Packers on tv . . . the closest I have ever been to a Packer home game   .  The one good thing though (except spending time with my boy) is having gone to Sportsmans Warehouse.  Spent an hour there and wish I had more time and $$$$.

So, I thought I would say "hello" to all your guys in Wisc.

i tryed to watch the game last night.  the reception on the tv was so bad i couldnt.  they werent doing so hot anyhow.

the packers generally arent out there trying to win pre-season games.  they use it more to test out younger players and see who is going to make the team.

still,  i dont see them doing much this year.  that stupid mike sherman needs a pink slip.   the players dont respect him, and have no problems chating it up with the other team.  meanwhile,  the other team is out there with a purpose.  dont look for the pack to do much this year; they will be lucky to win half of their games.

Young guys should hang out with old guys; old guys know stuff
