Another question for you all
« on: August 27, 2005, 06:46:13 AM »
I had an extra pair of limb savers..................and being a cheap person I didn't want to waste something so i stuck them next to the other limb savers on my bow.............now I have two on the top limb.....................and two on the bottom limb. Is this a bad idea........or should it work.....................i am sure I will lose a little speed but not sure how much.

Thanks Guys

No, it's probably not a bad idea; I have seen fellas stick them on the opposite side an inch down or so. Make sure they all stay put to keep your limbs balanced. :D

I don't think your bow can ever be too quiet. An extra set of limbsavers sure couldn't hurt as long as the limbs stay balanced. I used to think all of the silencing products were just great marketing until we were in a local archery shop and a guy with a brand new bow, without any kind of silencers on it, was shooting next to me on their indoor range. What a huge difference. The "twang" from the new bow was actually very loud. Loud enough to make a deer do all kinds of airborne maneuvers before your arrow gets there. Yes, the stuff does work.

I totally agree, the more quiet the better...Its kinda tricky because getting one in the right spot on my matthews, is hard enough two would nearly be impossible, but hey..if you can, why not try it? Good luck  :D
