Remington Kleanbore Primers
« on: August 28, 2005, 03:10:10 AM »
I have seen posts talking about these "new" primers from Remington But they weren't on the shelves yet....My questions are:
Has anyone used them and if so has there been a positive effect(ie-decrease or dissappearance of crud ring)??
I just bought a pack yesterday but have not tried them yet
Thanks in advance

E28;
There has been quite a bit of talk about the new Remington primers!
Rem. has quit making the old 209-4 primers and now makes a 209-ML primer for use in in-line muzzle loaders. They are supposed to be cleaner burning and provide a lot easier cleanup with the lack of, or significant decrease in CRUD-RING!
I haven't tried them yet, Bubba (of GBO's "Hunting in NY") gave me over 200 of the old 209-4's that he had!  By the time they get used up, there will be a lot of reports out about the new 209-ML!
