This may have been discussed.

how many of you bed (permanatly attach) your scope mounts to your receiver. or if you bed them do you use releasing agent incase you ever want to remove them.

So far I have just cleaned out he screw holes & relocktited them except for the 22hornet ultralight I beaded it because of the large gap between the barrel & mount will eventually bed a forearm for it as well(very large gaps)

just a thought
That's my boy, GOD BLESS AMERICA!!

I have used Brownell's AcraGlas and Devcon epoxy to bed mount bases with good success.  No realease agent if you want to keep the rifle scoped.  If you ever do want to remove the base, put the barrel in the freezer for several days and you should be able to tap the base off.  An alternative is to heat the base (not the barrel) with a torch until the "glue" softens, then hit it with a padded hammer.
