I just read an article by an outfit (ArmsTec in Phoenix, AZ) that makes the Browning BAR into sniper rifles for the military. They claim that the action bars need replacement after 3000 round or so to maintain peak accuracy (they were talking sub MOA for their rifles). I believe their tests indicated that at 10,000 rounds there had been no breakage and that barrel and action were fine.

Thanks for the info. If the gun will last 10,000 rounds, that would be great for me as I only use the gun for deer hunting and some target shooting.
