Well, I shipped the gun to Ruger in early September for the conversion and re-blueing. Just got the gun back. It came in what appears to be an old, original Single Six box, with all the original parts included in a baggie. Ruger couldn't, or wouldn't spend the time to polish and buff out all the minor pitting in the gun (or so they forewarned me), but darned if I can see where they didn't polish it. Re-blue job looks first rate to me. Hammer polished on the sides bright n shiny, the top is blued (?) to match the rest of the gun. It appears they did something to tighten the sloppy cylinder play. Haven't shot it, need some grips.
For $50 bucks, I don't think I went wrong. In fact, it still has the 3 screws, which I thought would be replaced with pins. I oiled her up, and put her in the safe till I can get some grips; I'll post how it shoots later on. Hope this helps someone contemplating the conversion or the blue job.
