I bought one in a youth model a couple of years ago. pretty accurate but pretty cheaply made. If you can swing it at all you'll be happier with a marlin.  KN

This is the target I shot with my Henry 22 mag the first time I shot it after I bought it. Target is 3 shots using PMC predator ammo and measured 5/16 center to center. I had 2 Remington shells left the expensive Vmax stuff and shot 2 touching, wish I had more of it but I do not like the primers of the Remington stuff had several misfires and at 12 bucks a box too darn pricey for that .  When Henry  first came out they needed improvement but the company got their act together and they make great rifles now, The first ones I seen I did not like either but I sure like them now. The Winchester and Marlin fans boo hoo them because they cannot stand that a rifle can be made at a better price and work just as good and be just or more accurate!!! I would reccommend them to any one. http://www.henryrepeating.com/index.html Here is their webpage you will see lots of letters from satisfied customers.  I cannot wait for some better weather as it has been cold here in NW WI all month but as soon as it warms up I am going shooting and bunny hunting. I should add that my Henry is the standard 22 mag model H001M. Retails for around 300 bucks the standard 22 LR sells for 250 and less. They are great buys for the money. The webpage shows some of the targets shot with them also. It would make a great saddle rifle and depending on what you are shooting consider the 22 mag, But the LR is a good choice also. They are also going to make a 17 this year also and a 44 also.

Thanks, I think I'll give the LR a try $189 at Wallymart  I like the lever better than whats on my 39a. I think it will suit the purpose as a saddle rifle.......DPete
