Marlin Model 336c: Does it come in different grades?
« on: September 01, 2005, 03:59:49 AM »
Hi:

Does anyone know if the Marlin Model 336c comes in different grades? Say, Wal-Mart store grade verses a 336c bought at a regular gun store.

Thanks,

they are 1 and the same, fact is if you ask at Wally World to see the order book you can order many different weapons they do not stock. Wally places large orders for a better price that's all.

Yes, there are big differences between a Wally World 336W, and a 336C sold at a gun shop.  336W, "hardwood" stock, vs. 336C walnut stock for one. Go to www.marlinfirearms.com, and notice the different 336 models.

I haven't seen any at Walmart--but they might be able to order one. My suggestion is to see one in a gun shop and then decide. I kept bugging our gunshop in Fenton MO and then they had one. I could not leave without it.
