What can you tell me about my model 65?
« on: September 01, 2005, 08:18:16 AM »
The model number on the frame says 65-7.  It's a .357 with what looks like a 4" barrel.  I did a search and didn't find much about the model 35's?  I paid $275 and it looks like brand new.  I'm not seeing many posts and now I'm wondering if there is some kind of problem with these guns?  Also is this a K frame?  The serial number is CFE695x.

Model 65s are indeed K Frame S&W revolvers. The 65 is an excellent gun. The 4" barrel version is quite well suited for self defence applications. It sounds like you got a very good deal on that 65. Enjoy one of the finest examples of the DA revolver to be had.

These are a real bargain.  They can be had at a good price in excellent condition right now.  I think it is the best choice for a self defense gun out there.  Pull the trigger and it will go bang!  If six shots won't get you out of trouble, better find a better neighborhood.

It has enough heft for my wife to shoot accurately it with +p .38 specials or you can stoke it up with 357 loads.
