Trigger on omega
« on: September 04, 2005, 01:38:47 AM »
I have several muzzelloaders for that matter "several" guns..... I am sort of a fanatic about my triggers .... I am considering buying yet another muzzeloader and the omega has caught my eye. Can someone tell me what the trigger is like on a omega and/or can it be adjusted?

Thanks in advance

My Omega came with a decent trigger. I am not a trigger fanatic and can live with a wide range of trigger quality. Good thing since I also bought a Traditions Pursuit which has a trigger that is beyond description as to how bad it is. My Omega seems to be about five pounds or so and does not have a lot of creep. From what I have read it is not an easy trigger to do much with if you don't like the way it comes. Most are from good to better from what I have heard.

My Omega has a very good trigger, don't know if it's adjustable. My Tradations Pursuit LT also has a very good trigger, will use it in Kansas for BP season (no scopes allowed) and use the Omega 50 with a Bushnell 3X9X40 for Oklahoma BP season......

There is no adjustment on an Omega trigger, but it can be stoned. When I got my Omega the trigger had a lot of creep. So I took it apart and stoned it ( just a little), then put it back
together and tried it. I repeated this until I was happy with it. Don't screw it up, because you can't buy parts. T/C only sell's trigger assembles, not parts.
