Scope purchase suggestions.
« on: September 04, 2005, 08:44:04 AM »
OK; For my birthday, my wife and kids tell me to order a scope for my Savage .308FV. I will be getting around $400.00 for the purchase.
What do you all think?
Which scopes do you suggest?
Target shooting is the primary use.

I'm wanting a 6-24 power at minimum, or 8-32 power maximum.

:D  Let the suggestions begin  :D

How about this one?  http://theopticzone.com/detail.aspx?ID=3284 or this one,  http://theopticzone.com/detail.aspx?ID=3287

Both Bushnell 4200 elites.........the first one a 6 X 24, and the second an 8 X 32.....right in your price range..........

I've been very pleased with the new Buckmaster and Burris Fullfield II's from Jon at opticzone.

I'll second Victor Charlie's suggestion, the Elite 4200s are some exceptionally nice scopes and priced right, too!!

Thanks for the good information and suggestions. I placed an order at Midway for a fixed 24x Sightron, for $309.00 which gave me some extra $ to get some reloading supplies.
Thanks again for the help,
