I have tried the tang sight, but it just gets in the way of my grip.  Can someone recommend a receiver sight that will fit?  Thanks. Michael

Check with Williams, but, in my opinion it really goes against the grain to put a receiver sight on that era design. By the way, I'm having a Marble's Tang sight put on my 1873 Uberti Sporting rifle, & I intend to try to adjust to the new grip I know I'll have to use.........may have to add a little to the length of the stock, too. Howdy,

I don't know how the grip was handled in the past, but for most CAS shooters it's pretty simple.  The thumb is laid along side the stock and tang.  If you are trying to lever quickly, you learn to NOT wrap the thumb over the top.
I have used the tang sight on a few of my guns and they work very well, but, I've had to fight my creep-up instinct.

Adios,
