Rifled slugs in Rifled barrel....??? Shoud I ....?
« on: September 06, 2005, 04:07:29 PM »
Can I shoot Rifled slugs in a rifled barrel shot gun? Will rifled slugs hurt the rifling? Should I only shoot sabot slugs out of my rifled slug gun?
I would like to shoot rifled slugs at the range because they are less $$$.
I think Brennekel slugs can be fired in both smooth and rifled barrels but not sure? What about ( Remington, federal, winchester,) slugs? Any help will be appreciated! Thanks!

the soft rifled slugs will pack your rifled barrel with lead and it is horrid to try to remove. it would become a smoothbore really fast. dont do it.
