28 gauge shells.
« on: September 07, 2005, 09:06:08 AM »
Is there any place to buy cheap or reloaded 28 gauge?   I have a great gun that I want the kids and wife to learn with, but I don't have the time to reload right now.     Can't justify the regular retail prices for practice.

Thanks for any advice.

Cheap 28 gauge shells?    :)  :-D  :-D  :-D  :D  Yeah right.

Sorry, ain't gonna happen. Reloads would need to be found locally. Doubtful tho. You might go to any local skeet or sporting clays course in the area and ask if anyone there reloads for others. Even if they do don't expect "cheap" on 28 gauge. Unless you want to load yourself you just have to accept that 28 gauge and .420 bore are EXPENSIVE.

Walmart sells the Winchester AA target loads for around $6 a box.  Not extremely cheap, but seems like the best thing going.  I would also check Sportsmansguide.com, or cheaperthandirt.com
