Bolt Release

Just bought a new W70 left hand in .300WSM.   Is it the normal for the bolt release to have some left and right lateral play?     Also, I pulled the stock to have it refinished in oil.    I did not pay attention to the magazine box.   Do the notches belong in the receiver, or the bottom metal.   Thanks,  Curly.

I also have a model 70 lh. I was wandering the samething myself. I felt it had excessive movement as well. My rifle is a LH Fwt short action from the custom shop in 308. Unfortunatly I haven't been able to get it to group very well.
