« on: September 08, 2005, 02:54:37 PM »
I purchased a 24in .257 Roberts barrel for my Encore a few months ago and FINALLY fired it today. You could imagine my surprise when it shot 1/4in groups out of the box-------That is the barrel because I am no benchrest shooter. This barrel I will be keeping...............................

What type of load are you shooting in your 257 barrel? I have one but apparently have not found the right load because I am not getting the results you are.
Thanks,

Don
Being I do not reload any longer I am using factory ammo. I am shooting the Federal Premium Vital Shocks in 120gr Nosler Partitions. They worked so well I have not(and will not)tried anything else.
Good Luck
