Anyone own one of these, I like the looks of them and they look comfortable to shoot? Please tell me if you like the quality, the balance, barrel lenght and size and caliber. I am thinking .54 cal, 7/8 barrel in 36 inch length, flintlock, kinda like a Hawken length. It looks kinda like a hybrid of sorts. Jack.

I've got one,but haven't fired it yet.Finding l/hed firearms is a bear,so I jumped on the one.I like the lines of it.
The feel/balance of it[42"x1" barrel] is significantly heavy versus the [30"x1"] barrel on my TVM Jaeger.
Some friendly advise via college of hard knocks:if you get TVM to make you one INSIST on a pinned nosecap[if you get it]-they only glue the nosecaps on[and they fell off on mine] and INSIST that the lock is tuned.
Also suggest sling loops and a toeplate.
Good luck.

I've got one.  I'm very happy with it.

Some customized options I went with.  .54 caliber Colerain bbl in "D" weight.  I forget the profile name, but it's the 42" very gradual taper and flare.

I also requested a Jim Chambers Colonial lock.  Actually I requested the English Roundface, but got the Colonial. The colonial performs reasonably well in the rain so I'm not too put out by it.

If I had to do it again, I would insist on a White Lightning Touch Hole Liner, that is what I ended up putting on it.  Although I've heard that Thompson/Center has a very good liner too.

I ordered mine "in-the-white", so my end cap was not glued or pinned on.  I tried glueing it on, and it is currently pinned on.

Thanks gents!! I will tell them about those things, if I get one. Also, I may change the barrel to 42 inches, and 1 inch, unless I get the .50 and then I will stick to 7/8 ths. Jack.

Back when I ordered, it was only an extra $150 to have a swamped bbl put on.  I know sometimes just ordering the semi-custom gun is a difficult stretch on the pocketbook, but if the money isn't too difficult to come by, go w/ a swamped bbl.

Swamped bbls give you a better balance and/or a lighter overall weight.  In my case I got a very heavy D-weight bbl which is 1 1/8" across the flats at the breech.  Overall weight is 10.5 lbs.  Overall length is 56".  It handles hefty loads very sweetly.
