K-31 range report
« on: September 09, 2005, 03:15:44 PM »
Got a K-31 a few weeks ago, just got out to the range with it for the first time this afternoon. Best $100 I ever spent. Very good open sights, not only the best mil-surp trigger I ever felt, but a great trigger for any rifle, light and smoooth.  With mil-surp ammo the first 10 shot group was just over 2" at 100 yards and dead center in the bull. Now my 50+ year old eyes can't see well enough to shoot better than that with any open sights.  I paid a few dollars more for a hand select and the bore was perfect, all metal is fine and even the wood is good.  Muzzle cover sling etc.  Never thought I'd be more pleased with a mil-surp than my Swede 96, but the K-31 just may be it.  Then again the lines of the Swede appeal to me more and it is also a shooter.

Yep since a Springfield is mostly out of most folks reach you cannot beat a Swede or a K31 for having a great shooter.
Said I never had much use for one, never said I didn't know how to use it.

Where did you purchase?  I've been looking at the AIM ad.

I got mine at SOG and I think between them and AIM or any of the others there is little difference even guys buying the cracked stock ones are happy and they all come from Century anyway as they are the main importer. Find the best price and go for it.
