Limbsaver Pad

I noticed that Limbsaver makes a pad to fit the H&R Ultra Slug 12 ga, the SB2-988 model.   Are the stocks for the Ultra Slug and the Handi Rifle that much different that this wouldn't fit the Handi Rifle?  Just curious about that.  Thanks for any info.

Yup!! Go to the Limbsaver web site and download their templates, it doesn't match any of the stocks I have and I have a bunch. Some of them are close to the right size, but not close enough and the hole position and spacing is wrong. The best choice that I've tried is the small grind-to-fit, it takes very little grinding to get it to fit, I don't even take any off the pad itself, just the base plate.

Thanks for the info Quick.  I had thought maybe it wouldn't work but I guess I needed confirmation on that.  Guess I'll wait until Limbsaver decides to make one for the Handi.  (Probably be a long wait).  I tried the small slip on pad but couldn't get it tight enough to be comfortable and don't have the correct tools to grind a pad for it.  Oh well!

Snicker,
 As Quickdtoo says, it really is a easy thing to fit this pad. Do you have a electrc drill? Now get a sanding disc and some sand paper to fit and you can do it!!!

OR, stop in at your local gun shop and see if they offer the service.

I just fitted a pad to mine.   Grinding down the "terminator" pad I had on hand was easy on a grinding wheel.      Wish I had removed about 1/2 inch more off the wood before I started, however.    With a heavy coat, I will be leaning forward to reach a full view in the scope.

Is there a tape that fits over the intersection of the plastic base and the wood?   There isn't a real reason, more just for decor.
Anyone else remember this on perhaps older guns?
