I'm even kicking around the idea of having one made in either a 270 x 57R or 270 x 65R. Would be interesting to see what velocity I could get with 140 gr Accubonds. I could always just neck down the 7mm brass and have some dies made to accommodate this wildcat.
Josh, if you're interested in having something really interesting have you considered the Aussie wildcat the 303/270?
Forming and reloading dies can be had from the Aussie reloading company Simplex.
It's rimmed and should suit the Encore well.
And if you feel you need a little more oomph there are improved versions like the Canadian wildcat the 270/303 Epps Improved which has a 35 degree shoulder and less case taper.
While neither will match the 270 Win the Epps cartridge isn't too far behind and with the nice strong Encore frame you can load it up well.
A friend has a 6.5 Epps in a Martini Henry action and it is a deadly little number.
Then again dreaming is free and the wife cant stop me from doing that.
I know that story well.
