moon clips for revolvers

Goodness!  that's a new one on me!  I've never seen or heard of moon clips for .357 revolvers!  How does that work?  the rear of the cylynder is milled off to clear the halfmoon/fullmoon clips?

I do know that using fullmoon clips on my M1917 and M625 .45 ACP revolvers greatly speeds up unloading and reloading.  I've used them in PPC shooting and on duty as well.

Please tell me more about those .357 moonclips.  Make, model, and details, please.

Some people who shoot competition revolvers have the face of the cylinder cut down to accept moon clips. The only 357's I know of that come from the factory that take moon clips are the S&W 627PC and the Taurus.  Both are 8 shot wheelguns. I have the S&W 8 shot ( I use it in IPSC), it is a sweet gun. The only thing I didn't like was the trigger pull was extremly rough. After fixing that problem the gun shoots very well.
Not sure if the 627PC is still in production or not but I think the Taurus still is.
