45 ACP titanium revolver
« on: September 13, 2005, 04:43:36 PM »
Have any of you had any experiences with the titanium 4 inch, five shot, non-ported, fixed sighted revolver in 45 ACP? Sorry, I'm not even sure what the model designation is. I saw a used one in a gun shop. I was told they were no longer made. Does anyone know what they sold for new?
Thank you..Wally

I bought one in .41 Mag total titanium 4" bbl ported.  This revolver has at least 1500 rounds thru it and is doing great.  I would prefer my not be ported though.  The revolver I have cost me $537 new.  I could have ordered by mail and save some money but I wanted to make sure I examine it before I buy it.

I've been thinking about one of these Taurus Tracker 45ACP after handling it yesterday.... anyone got one of these.

They seem nice but I need feed back as well.    :cb2:

Well, I made a deal for it. Have put about 200 rounds thru it. Maybe two boxes of hardball and the rest cast handloads. Shoots great!. Find the sights very well regulated, and love those grips.

Last time I checked their website, Taurus was offering a tracker in .45LC. The main reason why I didn't get one is because I also don't like the ports and wish that was an option instead of the standard offering.

Shaner,
     Check out their website www.taurususa.com
There are 6 revolvers listed in 45 Colt.  Use their "gunselector", enter revolver, 45 C, and "stainless steel" for the finish.  Don't select "stainless"  It won't come up with anything.

When you buy a taurus titanium, make sure you look down the barrel with a flashlight to check for proper cylinder alignment.  I got a .44 ultralite, and its noticeably off, which is bad.  Otherwise, handles pretty nice.. .still have to see if its covered under warranty....
