NEF OR H&R
« on: February 27, 2003, 04:08:07 AM »
IS there any difference between NEF&H&R rifles in the same caliber?  Is
one any better than the other? Please advise. Have never owned either one in a single shot rifle. Thanks

NEF OR H&R

Doug,  the H&R rifles are a fancier version of the NEF handi rifle.  A little better blueing, and laminated stocks.  On average, the H&Rs will run $50-$75 higher than the handis.  I own four NEFs, a .30-30, .50 cal. huntsman, a 20 ga. tracker II slug gun, and a 20 ga. topper shotgun.  They are all great guns, and a good value for the money.  If you want more info on them, type H&R talk into your search engine, and check out the forum.  There is a wealth of info there about these guns, and at the top is an online catalog which shows all of their firearm models.  FYI NEF/H&R is now owned by Marlin firearms.
