.204 Ultra's First Range Trip
« on: September 15, 2005, 03:41:51 PM »
Went out yesterday to get the new Ultra sighted in. Didn't get to shoot any groups cause the sun went down to fast, or maybe I started shooting too late?   Started at 25yds to get my windage dead on and get elevation close. Moved out to 100yds and was 3" high. Got dark on the last 2 shoots, but is about 1.75-2" high at 100yds. Gun seems to be much more accurate than my Handi .204 was before doing some minor work on it.  The Ultra Trigger is 1lb2oz, lapped the bore before shooting it and the gun locks up really tight. My Handi was really lose when it was new, but put Choate stock on it and it really tightened it up. Here is a pic of the new Ultra.
