410 grain 41 magnum bullet?

What does everyone think about using a 410 grain 41 mag bullet on pigs. Sounds like a bit much but I would like to try it.

:cb2: WOW. Didn't know they even made such a critter!   I'm new to .41 mags—bought my first one this year. The biggest I've seen (factory loads, cuz I don't reload yet) was 240-gr. Man, what does a 410-gr. look like?

  I think you might mean a 210 gr. bullet?  I think that would be sticking out the other side of the cylinder.

I don't think you could even use that weight in a 44 Mag. Was it a misprint?  :D

I agree. That sounds more like a brand of cigar than a brand of bullet.

:?: It really depends on what you're shooting it in I guess. Evidently, this isn't going in a revolver or semi-auto. That heavy a bullet would take up too much room in the case leaving little room for powder. I'd use it in something like a .405Winchester Encore that has a little free-bore so's the bullet could be set out a ways. Then there's the .411JDJ and .41Whammy in the G2 and Encore respectively. I've played with the Hornady 300grSP in the .414SM, but went to the 265gr.FNLGC as the heaviest bullets I use in the short cases. Really, we need more information. :money:

He's confused with the 410GNR. Thats a wildcat cartrige from Gary Reeder, its a 454 casull shell necked down to 41 pushing a 255gr bullets at 1900 I think. Thats what he's talking about.
