Actually it was 9 counts 6 counts of First Degree Homicide and 3 counts of Attempted First degree Homicide. That should be enough to put him in with bubba for life.

have no fear, gentlemen.  i need not worry about him getting what he deserves.   as long as he lost his freedom for the rest of his days.

i aint going to judge him; that is God's job.   i will say,  i wouldnt want what he did hanging over my head on judgement day.   in other words, i am glad i dont have to answer for what he did.

It would bug me to have to pay for his room and board for the next 50 years though.

His family appears to be trying to turn this into a racial issue since the jury was all white. All the people he murdered were white. Would he have shot his Hmong buddies in the back? Maybe he will meet some " friendly" white "hunters" in prison---you know the kind of hunters I am talking about?     pg

He receive what he deserved.  To bad Wis. doesn't have the death penalty.  Now us taxpayers have to pay for his stay at the prison,

I wondered what would happen with a jury from Madison.  I told some of my Milwaukee co-workers that race had nothing to do with it: anyone who would use another hunters tree stand on posted private land is likely to get chewed out.  Vang's response was wrong, and now he will be my neighbor in Waupun for a while.  I don't think we have Bubba here, but my guess is we have our own version.

Here is another hunting incident near La Crosse, bit more recent. It appears that hunter-hunter shootings may be coming a tradition in the state.

A unfortunate accident that lead to murder because of what is all to common these days kids that never had to be responsible or have learned how thanks to the liberals in todays society. Yea I know the guy is 24 but that is not that far removed from his teen and childhood years of I bet little learning to be responsible.  :x  :x  :x

:agree:

After reading the criminal complaint, etc.... I figured he was dead in the water.

It amazes me that people can make such poor decisions. Such a waste.

I agree with jh45gun,and it's becoming more and more apparent in the younger generation, just a plain lack of sense of responsibility, while everything is focused on self,it's what's being taught in our schools and society as a whole these days. It's the All about ME generation.

I am not ready to give up on the next generation.  I raised up a couple of them that I respect, and their friends are OK too.

Growing up I recall several gun accidents, one that crippled a young neighbor and two others where folks died from hunting accidents.  These happened in the 50s and 60s, so this generation had nothing to do with it.

I think each generation has a few goof balls that sometimes make us wring our hands.  But most of them are fine people who will do their best.  And some times stuff just happens.

Keith,I guess my point wasnt about the actual accidents,it was the fact that the guy who did it just left the kid to die and didnt take responsibility for his actions,he just went on about his daily business.Today it seems our society seems to push the idea that it's someone elses fault when something goes horribly wrong and everyone starts pointing fingers everywhere, instead of at the actual perp or problem. This shooter of the teen will probably get off on a lesser sentence, because he'll make up some excuse like he freaked out and got scared, bringing pity on himself, thats why he didnt go for help. When he's just a cold hearted individual who could care less about anyone but himself.WI.  needs the death penalty,we're too soft on killers in this state.

I lost a shooting buddy 25 years ago because one person got a new shotgun for his birthday and my friend happend to be the first living thing that came into the woods.  Kind of cold blooded also.

Fortunately folks like this are the exception not the rule.

Sure keith there are some great kids out there and ALL of them had parents that raised them right. But in this day and age of mom and dad both working and kids shuffled off to daycare when young then on their own after school they do not get the supervision a lot of them need. Then add the liberal BS that the schools and parents cannot disipline them or you are abusing their rights and it all adds up to kids that never had to learn respect for others and got by with too much stuff until they get into serious trouble and then it is too late. Yea ever generation has had some like this but we are in a age that we are nurturing them along due to the crappy system the liberals created.

We are just going to have to disagree on this one.  I agree the world is different, and I don't like all that I see.  But blaming a random act of violence and idiocy on society and blaming liberals and schools is just as irresponsible as blaming it on guns.

Due to my respect for GBO and the forum rules employed here, I will keep this very clean...

Mr Vang, enjoy your stay in prison. You probably wont like being bubba's little "friend", however it has got to be a better place than where you should go after that.

Bye bye you unremorsefull son of a............

I think the release of the shrink's report a couple weeks ago, and the way Mr. Vang acted at tuesday's hearing, are a setup for a mental health plea.  I am glad I was wrong.  The prison in Waupun is 20 minutes away, and Oshkosh is 45.  I guess I will have a new neighbor for a long time...

If Mr. Vang is incarcerated in Wisconsin, I'll give him three years before getting the Dahmer treatment.

Just an opinion.

Green Bay Correctional or Columbia Correctional are my guesses as to where he ends up. Not a nice place to spend a lifetime in either case.

Well I disagree all you got to do is look to see it. They arrested a kid in Superior high school today 18 years old had a knife and drug items on him. He threatened a kid in class saying he will be the next school shooter and picked the kid as his victim. Now a 18 year old kid sure as hell should know better since he did not I blame the school and society and the parents for not teaching him better. IF he had to be responsible for his actions before this I doubt he would have made such a boneheaded statment and gotten arrested. Two High schools in Duluth MN the past week have found letters threatening their schools in the past week. Seems like the acts are not very random anymore. You tell me when I went to school from 58 through graduation in 1970 we never heard of crap like this.
