Did Ruger ever produce any "one off's" or special editions other than the 50th anniversary #1s 50 in 45/70?

and did they ever produce a #1 AB rifle, discontinued in the early 80's?

yes. just looking in "Ruger and His Guns" I see a few listed.

NRA Hunt of a Lifetime: 1977 in 7mm Remington; 104 produced

Lyman Centennial: 1978 in 45-70; 101 sets in Grade I and 1000 in Grade II

California Highway Patrol: 1981 in .357 Magnum; 1820 produced in 1-A configuration

One Shot Antelope Hunt: limited numbers made c. 1978 for participants in the hunt. "one shot/antelope hunt/Lander, Wyoming" is rollmarked on right side of the frame with name of shooter, his team and serial number

Guns magazine 25th Anniversary: built in 1981 and chambered in 7mm R.C.B.S. 24" Shilen bbl with exibition grade walnut stock.

safari Club International: made in 1982 and chambered in .375 H&H; 60 produced in Tropical configuration

There's a No.1 RSI in 30/40 Krag #50 of 60, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Limited Edition for sale now on Auction Arms. Looks like the bid price right now is $500. Seems like a bargain to me.

I know they provided #1's in 45-70 gvt. to the Marble Arms corp of Gladstone, MI around the time they produce the commerative model. Marbles put gold inlaying on the frame and gave them out as prizes at there Marble Arms Sporting Clays shoot, but they are hard to find there are only 11 of them I think and I have one.[/url]
