Sorry for the confusion, please read..

For starters I want to thank everyone that replied to my previous thread.

http://www.graybeardoutdoors.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=71972

In that thread I asked about using a single powder for two calibers.  I got great responses to this question.  I also got some replies that led me to believe some of what I said might have been skimmed over.

I already own the reloading tools for both calibers as well as brass and bullets for both. with that said, I'm not going to not use this stuff, so factory ammo is out, it's too costly, that was my main reason for reloading in the first place.

I will also be trying several powders, eventually.  I probably should have mentioned that out of the 4 reloading books I have, there were several powders listed for both calibers that were the same.  I was just looking for a recommendation so that I could load a few rounds for both my rifles to try out, without having to worry about switching powders between the two calibers, exercising the KISS theory.  After I get the hang of every aspect of the reloading sequence, I fully plan to try various recipes.
I thank you all for your responses, and I believe it appears I'll be trying out some IMR4350 for starters.  Heading to the gun shop in the morning!

SFF
Never read your first post but i hve used 4350 for several calibers (243, 308 and 30-06 to name a few)  for a long time.  It may not always be the BEST for each one but usually the differences are negligible.
God, Family, and guns, in that order!

I did read your other post. Regardless of all the fluff quite often I have found one powder to work extremely well in more than one chambering. In thirty some years of metalic cartridge loading I have come to the conclusion that not only is it possible...it is also desirable...
I load for....or can load for 30 something different chamberings and even tho I have several dozen types of powder I can load most all I have with five. Often the gun, the shooter, the bullet, the rest have as much to do with the 'shootability' of the ammo as does the powder.

 Several years ago I was at the reloading bench and took a look in the powder cabinet, I had about two dozen different powders.  After some research, and loading to use up what I had on hand, I reduced the different types/brands of powder to five.  I may not have as hot a load as some would like, but after some experimenting I have some very accurate loads.  My primary goal is to be able to hit what I aim at........I have been lucky in that respect.
