I have heard of this before but i never gave it much thought.  A 50GI in the 1911 frame gives us 44mag performance. Interesting? Cost 3k no wonder why we never see them or they didn't really catch on? Judging by the size of the hole in the barrel I wouldn't want to be a bad guy on the business end of this puppy.  Looks wicked bad!!!!!

I am not really sure which end would be punished more, the one in front would sure not hurt as long as the one behind.
