45 acp cases ?
« on: September 18, 2005, 01:46:11 PM »
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When I reload for my 45acp the only case I have trouble with are the PMC cases. Think I read someplace that they are just a little different then the other cases making them hard to reload. Anyone have trouble with the PMC cases and are they made a little different? Seem they give me so much trouble I just threw about 1k away. It seems like better then one out of 5 or more won't go in the case gauge

PMC uses a soft brass alloy. When you size it. sometimes the case walls will drop over the web, thus making it way fatter than it should be and impossible to chamber.

I use Dillon carbide dies in my RL550B. I found using a little case lube helps eliminate the sizing problem. After the cases have been reloaded once, they stiffen up and work like other brands.
