Bisley grip frame on a 1st gen SAA?

Has anyone tried fitting a repro Bisley grip frame to a SAA?

anything can be done if you want to spend enough money but why mess up an old colt! Hell id be happy to give you a  bisley ruger for that colt :)

Beyond messing up a 1st gen Colt, the Bisley has a "deeper" frame, the backstrap is higher up the recoil shield, look at pictures and you can see it.  The frame would have to be built up at the rear with weld or similar to reshape and contour to the Bisley backstrap.

I wasn't thinking when I put that post up..........I was hoping for a fit w/o alteration.  Of course, I would never ruin a great gun.
