Kelly Blue book in my area shows about $2800 trade-in to $4000 retail.

With that in mind, it would depend a lot on overall condition of the individual bike.  If it was show room condition, it might be fair, but I'd bet you could get it for less, maybe $3200 range.

In general, the Foreman is a great bike, built like a tank, but also rides like one.  It would depend on the condition of the individual bike.  How it was rode, maintained, and stored.

Look at the next thread below entitled "First ATV", and go down to the comments made by Markc.  He explains very well what to look for in a used bike.

I have a 2004 Foreman that had 310 miles on it when I bought it. I paid 4000 with a warn winch and a two up seat and pegs. I am very happy with the machine. Like someone said here.. It is built like a tank and actualy rides a bit harsher. I know I have drivved a few howitzers and other tracks. The foreman is tough and reliable.. a great work horse. The straight axle is great for pulling a tree from the woods but is lacking for trail riding. All in all I love the foreman. Yes the polaris has a better ride but is not as reliable. It is tough to get a group of 12 or so together and not have a polaris overheat do to crud/mud in the radiator or fouling the electric fan. I also own a Recon 250. That is a more fun machine to ride when the trail is not too bad. Ride is better just because it is smaller and lighter. Like them both. Don't forget Honda has a sweet riding machine.. The Rincon. Double wishbone rear suspension. it is a 650 I beleive and have talked to a few that have them. Say the ride is great. Not too bad on gas. They are liquid cooled but no problems. They are pricey.$$$$

Darrell,

If you want to wake that Foreman up so it rides like the Recon, put in a Warn 4-2-4 disconnect.

Best investment I ever made in the Rancher.

old geezer. IT has a disconect.. 2004's have it factory. The Foreman is great but the Recon is just more fun .. slides into the corners and does great little jumps..  The Foreman is also birdened with Blackwater tires. Great in the mud but no fun on decent trails.. Plus the Black water tires really get it dirty. Throwing mud all over.

PS.  The Foreman in two wheel drive does awesome cookies. Get the back to come unglued and you can plant the left front tire and dig a perfectly round plate size hole. A lot of fun.

My "opps" on the front disconnect.  I knew the 05 and up had it factory, but didn't realize the 04's had it.  My Rancher is an 02, and the 4-2-4 was well worth the money and effort.

My wife had a Recon ES, but at 6' and 240 lbs, I found it a little cramped.  At the time I was riding a Sportsman, and I hated getting on the little bike.  But now, we only have the Rancher, and I had to get used to the smaller size.  But now, I don't think I would want to go back to a bigger bike.

Five Seve an 190...(Honest 190;bs I find it cozy but comfortable.. The recon that is.. I really love that little guy. Does nothing fantastic,, just does everything well.. Of course ti does need help in the deep stuff..I love the MPG>> When I fill the two up on a ride. It uses half the gas.. Even when I ride it.. Take care..
