686 Rear Sight Question.

I just recently got a 4" 686P (357 Mag. and first S&W revolver). It has adjustable sights, and I'm not sure if this is normal, but the rear sight blade jiggles around quite easily. When I shake the gun I can hear it rattling too. It does not move into different positions to the point of ruining the sight alignment (I hope!); it just moves around loosely and rattles. I'm concerned it may be causing accuracy issues. Is it possible to get it seated tighter so it won't move around so freely? Thanks for any input.

I had the same problem with mine. I took it apart & put in a new adjusting screw. It came loose again & I replaced it with a Millett sight.
The new sight went on four years ago & it is still tight.
