Whats a good source for primers? I can order 5000 for about 200 dollars. I don't need 5000 primers first off so do they come in lots less than 5000? Can I order them off the internet? Nowhere around here sells them and I need some for my 223.

Go to the local gun shop and you can get them in one hundred packs. Plus you wont have to pay a haz mat fee.

Go to a different Gun shop then.  I bought the Win 209 for 3.00/100, the CCI LR and Win LR for 2.49 /100.  Not the cheapest, but sure beats buying in bulk and paying shipping and haz mat.

Almost all the gun shops around me sell them for 1.70 to 2.00 a hundred but I buy bricks of 1000 for a little less at the same store, I use so many that a hundred would be a waste of time for me anyway.

Graf & Son will sell primers by the 1000.  They charge a $20 HazMat fee, but they will pack up to 50 pounds in one container for that $20, and it can be mixed primers and powder.

Check your local gun shows.  I recently picked up some at mine for $15 a 1000.

I also put in a large order with some friends.  32lbs of powder and 20k primers thru Graf.  One hazmat charge.

We only have one gun shot where I live and the next nearest one is 150 miles either way to Agusta or Savannah. No of my buddies reload they are all the point, shoot type of people. Anyway I see I can order them from midwayusa for 17$ for 1000 plus shipping and haz matt fee.

Remind me to not move to Georgia, I like to have gun shops closer them 150 miles when the one in your town is acting like that.

Several of the Wally Worlds around WV sell reloading components.  You might want to try them  around your area.  As posted, if you reload, 100 primers ain't very many.  Order the 5000 and keep all but a small supply in a cool dark place and they'll be good for a long, long time.  Might as well order yourself a couple of 8# kegs of powder while you're at it.   I THINK Graf's will let you mix stuff on the same haz mat paperwork.
