I made my first bow kill yesterday afternoon on an unlikely suspect
It is both Archery Deer & Archery Turkey season here in CT.
I was doing a little slow stalking before I headed to my blind in another area of the property. I was moving through a brushy cedar stand where the Deer & Turkeys like to stage in the afternoon before moving into the fields. As I was moving along, I spotted a Gobbler in the brush just a bit in front of me. I couldn't beleive that he hadn't seen me
. I stood there behind a cedar for a few minutes wondering how I was going to get a clear shot. Of course, the moment that I moved again he saw me. He popped up and started to run directly away from me. I drew, put the 20 yd pin a little low on his spine and let'er rip  Good shot, a little left of the spin and out through his beard. I gave him some time, but he passed quickly.
When I marked off the shot, it ended up being 17 yds. The arrow passed through the Tom and lodged itseld into the base of a cedar tree about another 10 yds from the Turkey.
When I pulled the arrow from the tree, it looked like I could have nocked it and shot it again...I really like these Muzzy 100gr 3 Blade!!
Thanks for listening
