T/C N/E Shotgun Barrel on a T/C Renegade Stock?

Is the New Englander and Renegade stock the same thing? Will the NE Shotgun barrel fit on a Renegade stock. If it fits, I could buy a new barrel, but then there is that little issue with the Double Set Triggers. I know it would work ok with Turkeys and Squrrels when you have time to set the trigger, but what about of flying critters, that might be tricky with the set trigger? Jack.

All Renegades have 1" wide barrel beds...isn't the New Englander a 15/16" barrel?

Using the set trigger is optional...the front hunting trigger works by itself, it's just not a 'hair' trigger like it becomes after setting the rear "set" trigger.

PS:
Green Mountain makes a variety of "drop-in" barrels for the TC Hawken & Renegade...some of which are smoothbores.

I bought a .62cal(.20ga) Flint smoothbore a couple years ago that I set up with a long range turkey load.

And just this week I received a .54cal (.28ga) GM Flint smoothbore that I set up Saturday as a squirrel gun;

The .62 is a 1" barrel for the large Hawken stocks or the Renegade;
The .54cal is a 15/16" barrel for the regular size Hawken stock;

You might check their website, think through some possibilities, etc.

Thank you very much Roundball!! I am also debating between, if I get a New T/C New Englander 12 gauge shotgun(yes, they said they would custom make me one), to get the barrel with the Chokes or the Cylinder bore barrel. There is only $10 difference, but I kinda like the simplicity of not dealing with choke tubes. my question is, can you get good enough groups with the Cylinder bore barrel for Turkeys-Squrrels-Rabbits and the occasional Grouse and Pheasant? I meen, are the tubes really worth it for $10 more? I may also want to try some patched roundballs thru the barrel also, just for fun mostly on targets. Thank you-Jack.
